• Hands free operation; once the call is answered, you can speak without pushing any buttons.
• Picture memory: For extra security, the system stores up to 64 images with a time stamp. Every time someone pushes the door bell, a picture will be taken automatically & stored. A blinking signal on the monitor will notify you that someone has rang the door bell.
• SD-card storage: The images will be stored in the monitor as well as on an SD card which makes it easy for you to review the pictures on your computer. You can even email directly from you email program.
• Call forwarding: When you are not at home, you can forward the door bell call to a land line or cell phone. The call will then be transferred to your phone and you can speak to the person at your door. 
• You will also have the option to open the door directly from your phone!
  Internal call  forwarding and intercom:  If you have the VD-700 series expanded with multiple monitors, you can transfer calls from one location in the house to another. You can also call other people in the use using the monitors as an internal intercom system.
• Touch Button: The monitors are operated simply by a Soft Touch on the panel.  No protruding button to press so its not only stylish, but also very user friendly.
• Wide angle camera: Capture more with the built in wide angle view camera by Sony.  This is especially convenient when people are not in front of the camera, you will still be able to see them.
• Night Vision: The door station has Infrared led lights built in that will turn on automatically when it is dark so that you will be able to see a person in the dark.
• Monitor function: Curious about what is happening near your front or back door?  Simply push the monitor button to activate the camera and the microphone in the door station. 
• Strong metal door station: The door station is made out of strong metal casing with a polycarbonate glass designed to last a long time.  The housing is rain proof (however additional protection against excessive water is recommended).
• Easy installation: The installation is simple and is nothing more than connecting a few wires. 
• Detailed wiring instructions are included. You can choose a set up with an individual power supply for each monitor, or a central hard wired power supply.
• Expandable: You can add up to 4 video security cameras in conjunction to the VD-700 for use in other parts in or around the house. This makes the VD-700 a completely functional and versatile video security system.
